About this reliquary

Holy Ops

A Sonic Reliquary

Medieval reliquaries were ornate boxes for bits of dead saints — a finger bone, a scrap of cloth, a vial of blood. The holiness was believed to stay put after the saint didn't.

Holy Ops does the same for sound. Thirteen saints, nine relics each. Every relic is a synth voice built from that saint's martyrdom and genre. Drop them onto the figure to stack an arrangement.

A Bartholomew kick under a Lucy pad. A Vitus acid line over a Joseph cumbia bass. Nothing here was built to go together.

How to Play

I

Choose a saint from the tabs above. Each has a unique key and sonic identity.

II

Drag relics from the catalogue onto the nine anatomical slots on the saint's body. On mobile, tap a relic then tap a slot.

III

Mix saints freely. Place relics from different saints to create cross-genre combinations. There are no wrong answers.

IV

Toggle votives along the bottom to add ambient layers — bells, candles, incense, holy water.

V

Click a placed relic to remove it. Drag between slots to rearrange.
